In urban environments, I am drawn to the ways architecture and human presence reshape space, and how fleeting light can transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.
This approach resonates with the spirit of New Topographics – a way of seeing that embraces both beauty and banality, treating the constructed and the natural with equal attention. I view the landscape and the cityscape not as opposites, but as connected layers of the same environment, shaped by time, history, and human intervention.
Whether I am waiting for mist to rise over a valley or for shadows to align perfectly along a concrete wall, my intent is the same: to capture the dialogue between permanence and change. Landscape photography grounds me in the enduring forces of nature; cityscape photography keeps me attuned to the evolving theatre of urban life.
